LoL Patch 26.11 Notes: Support Meta Flipped, Diana Buffs

Amber.gg 5 min read

Patch 26.11 went live on May 27 and it rewrites the entire support meta in one shot. Enchanters are getting hit from every angle while tank supports pick up direct item and rune buffs.

If you're grinding ranked, your pocket support pick may land on a completely different tier by the end of the week. Here's what changed and who benefits.

🛡️ Support Meta Shift: Enchanters Nerfed, Tanks Buffed

The enchanter nerf arrives from three directions: Summon Aery shields are weaker early (30 → 20 at level 1), Dream Maker loses damage reduction and damage on both bubbles, and Echoes of Helia drops stored damage from 35% to 30%. Karma, Renata, Sona, and Soraka all feel these cuts.

Tank supports gain in the exact spots enchanters lose. Aftershock gets +10 Armor/MR flat. Guardian cools down faster at early levels. Locket of the Iron Solari gains +5 Armor and MR (25 → 30). Knight's Vow now redirects 14% damage (up from 12%) and heals 12% (up from 10%).

Leona, Nautilus, Maokai, and Taric all get stronger passively through these rune and item buffs. The bot lane decision tree shifts hard this patch: tank supports are more rewarding now on ranked ladders. 📈

🔮 Imperial Mandate Reworked: Nami's Build Path Gone

Imperial Mandate gets a full identity rework, not just number tweaks. The old Coordinated Fire passive (bonus damage on slowed targets) is gone. The new passive, Control, gives 15 bonus AH for abilities with immobilizing effects. The new active, Command, marks immobilized enemies as 6% Vulnerable for 4 seconds.

This kills Nami's Mandate build completely. Her kit centers on slows, not hard CC, so she can't trigger Vulnerable reliably. Morgana, Lux support, and Leona are now the best Mandate users since they can all land consistent immobilizes.

Build path also changes: Blasting Wand replaces Fiendish Codex, lowering AH from 20 to 15 but bumping Mana Regen from 125% to 150%. Keep the LoL meta page bookmarked as builds update in real time.

Diana and Kassadin: New Jungle and Mid Options

Diana's jungle viability gets a genuine upgrade: monster damage jumps from 230% to 270% and W bonus health scaling goes from 9% to 11%. She was already a fringe jungle pick, but this could push her into consistent S-tier territory for players comfortable with her skirmish-heavy playstyle.

Kassadin buffed in LoL Patch 26.11, strengthening mid lane carry options.

Kassadin — LoL Patch 26.11 buff

Kassadin gets the subtler but impactful buff: Q cooldown drops from 10-8s to 9-7s at all ranks, and W base magic damage goes from 20 to 25. In a meta with more double-AP comps emerging from the support shift, Kassadin should climb to S-tier mid as teams react with AP-heavy drafts.

Both champions are natural counters to magic-heavy metas. More tank supports using AP damage items means even more magic damage on the board 🌑.

Deathfire Touch: AD Spell-Abuse Loop Closed

Deathfire Touch now deals Magic Damage only, removing the adaptive scaling that let AD champions like Talon, Zed, and Jayce abuse Black Cleaver synergy alongside the rune's DoT.

The hybrid AD build is dead. The rune stays strong for AP assassins and ability-heavy mages. This is a clean fix that closes an unintended interaction without touching the rune's core identity.

Quick Hits: Other Changes That Matter

  • Mid Role Quest: bonus AD/AP raised from 6% to 8%, a real free stat spike for mid laners
  • Grubs: voidmite HP doubles (60% to 100% of a melee minion), contesting them becomes riskier
  • Brand bot: base armor dropped 27 to 24, nudging him back toward utility roles
  • Smolder: passive crit scaling reworked, making his ADC output more conditional on crit investment
  • Statikk Shiv: AD bumped 40 to 45, a small ADC item buff
  • Ekko: passive cooldown per enemy reduced 5s to 4s, sharpening his threat in mid and jungle
  • Heimerdinger: Q Turret Attack Range 530 to 550, Vision Range 585 to 650; E Vision duration 1s to 1.25s
  • Quinn: passive Monster Damage 50 to 75, Q Monster Damage 150% to 200%, a solid jungle viability buff
  • Xin Zhao: passive gains AP scaling (+5/10/15/20% AP); heal AP scaling adjusted 50/65/90% to 45/55/80% AP
  • Heartsteel: Damage-to-Permanent-Health conversion 8% to 10%, reinforcing the tank identity of this patch
  • Experimental Hexplate: ranged nerf only: bonus Attack Speed 50% to 35%, Move Speed 20% to 14%; melee stats unchanged

Moonstone Renewer also gets a significant bug fix: it was double-dipping on heal/shield power and Grievous Wounds. Soraka and Sona players should expect a raw output drop even without a direct nerf to those champions.

Who Climbs and Who Falls in Ranked

Climbing this patch:

  • Leona, Nautilus, Maokai support: Aftershock, Locket, and Knight's Vow all received direct buffs
  • Morgana and Lux support: now the strongest Imperial Mandate users with reliable CC
  • Diana jungle: monster damage boost makes her clear significantly faster
  • Kassadin mid: Q cooldown reduction sharpens early-game trades and spike timing

Dropping this patch:

  • Nami: Mandate rework removes her strongest itemization path
  • Karma and Renata Glasc: Dream Maker nerfs hit their core identity
  • Teemo: armor growth (4.95 to 4.5 per level) and E scaling reduced, smaller lane bully window
  • Soraka: Moonstone bug fix and Echoes of Helia nerf stack into a meaningful output loss
