Classic guesser rules at a glance

Today's puzzle drops fresh at midnight UTC. Here is the loop, fast.

  • Drop a champion, see the row

Type any champion name and the guesser prints a comparison row across seven champion attributes. Each row is a clue, not a verdict, so log every cell before you queue up the next name.

  • Color codes are your only lifeline

Green is exact, orange is partial overlap, red is a hard no. There is no points system or hint button beyond those three colors, so the entire puzzle rides on how cleanly you read the cells you already have.

  • Year arrow narrows the timeline

The release-year cell adds an up arrow if today's champion is newer than yours, down if older. Treat it like a sliding scale: each guess should pivot you toward the middle of the remaining year band, not chase a vibe.

  • One streak shot per day

The puzzle resets at midnight UTC. Yesterday's answer is shown for context, and there is no cap on attempts inside the day. Miss zero days and your streak counts up; miss one day and it resets.

Classic is the streak-builder mode. Slow guesses ruin streaks, deductive guesses keep them.

Daily tips to keep the streak alive

Streak players do not guess hot. They open with information and let the row math close the puzzle.

  1. Open with a champion you can spell from memory. Aatrox, Lux, or Caitlyn are clean openers because their attributes are unambiguous and well known, so the row prints fast and you do not lose the day to a typo on a champion you barely play.

  2. Lead with rare attribute combos. A single guess that lands on void or Shadow Isles slices the pool harder than three guesses on common positions. If your gut says today's answer is exotic, follow that gut early before the streak pressure kicks in.

  3. Use the year arrow as a binary split. Pivot near the midpoint of the remaining year window, not toward your favorite era. Streak veterans win three days in a row by trusting the arrow over their memory of which champion shipped when.

  4. Cross-reference orange cells across guesses. Two oranges on regions with one shared region equals a green you have not earned yet. The streak-mind keeps a running map of overlaps and rules, and refuses to type a champion that contradicts what you already know.

  5. Sidestep editorial traps. Akali is mage and assassin, not solo assassin. Ivern is support and mage despite his frame. Yasuo is mid and bot, Pyke is support that flexes top. Streak losses come from these traps more than from genuinely hard puzzles.

Five days of clean deduction beats one perfect run. The streak is the prize.
