The VCL EMEA LCQ Play-In ran June 4–5, 2026, with 36 challenger teams fighting for just 8 spots. Every match was best-of-three with no second chances. These are the teams that made it:
Six teams swept their opponents 2:0. Galatasaray was the only side pushed to three maps, beating F9 EICAR 2:1. Every other result was a clean series win.

Galatasaray Esports needed three maps to close out F9 EICAR, but they did it. Turkey's most storied sports club has a massive fanbase watching every match, and in EMEA Challengers, home-market support matters. They arrive in the bracket battle-tested.
Fire Flux Esports is the sleeper pick. A clean 2:0 against Dark Passage with zero drama shows a team that's peaked at exactly the right moment. They've been one of the most consistent challenger-tier rosters in EMEA this cycle, and the LCQ stage suits their controlled playstyle.
This is where it gets serious. The winner of the LCQ main bracket earns a spot at VCT Ascension EMEA: the promotion tournament where challenger teams compete for a franchise slot in the VCT ecosystem. One tournament, one chance to cross from the challenger scene into Valorant's most competitive region.

The main bracket begins July 7, 2026. Sixteen teams total will compete, including the 8 Play-In qualifiers joined by direct LCQ seeds from EMEA's regional competitions. Format: group stage into single-elimination playoffs, with the Grand Final as a best-of-five.
