The 2026 Mid-Season Invitational arrives in Daejeon, South Korea on June 28, and the stakes couldn't be higher. Eleven teams from six regions clash in Fearless Draft Bo5s, with BLG, G2, LYON, and Faker all writing their own storylines before the first pick lands 🔥

🏆 Format: Fearless Draft From Day One
MSI 2026 introduces a new first-selection rule: teams choose either side (blue/red) OR first/second pick, not both. Combined with Fearless Draft: no champion can be re-picked once used in a series: every game forces teams to dig deeper into their champion pools.
Play-In Stage: June 28, July 1
- 4 teams, double-elimination bracket
- Best of 5, Fearless Draft throughout
- Only 1 team advances to the Bracket Stage
Bracket Stage: July 3-12
- 8 teams: 7 direct seeds + 1 Play-In winner

BLG: Completing the Collection
BLG are the most dominant team of 2026: First Stand champions, LPL Spring winners with a 3-0 sweep of TES, and Knight posting historically elite numbers in the mid lane. They've won everything domestically. The one trophy missing from the cabinet is MSI.

G2: Europe Wants That MSI Trophy Back
G2 took their LEC Spring 2026 title in a tense five-game series. They were First Stand finalists, falling to BLG in the grand final. In Fearless Draft, G2's unorthodox champion pool is a genuine wild card, the kind that makes bracket predictions feel useless.
LYON: NA Has Something to Prove
LYON swept Team Liquid 3-0 in the LCS Spring Grand Final to earn this spot. Back-to-back LCS champions, with Inspired and Berserker as their international pedigree, LYON aren't here to fill a slot. This is North America's best opportunity at international relevance in years.
Bonus: Faker in the Play-In
T1 lost the LCK Road to MSI 3-1 to HLE, dropping them to the Play-In. That means Faker, at his 9th MSI, starts against Team Liquid before potentially climbing back into the bracket. Never count T1 out, but they'll need to earn it 📉
