Patch 26.14 reshapes the meta: Garen and Seraphine nerfed in botlane, Mordekaiser revived in top lane, and Blue Buff scaling changed across the board.
Patch 26.14 is here, and it's reshaping the meta in a big way. Botlane takes a hit, Mordekaiser is back to terrorizing top lane, and the Blue Buff changes ripple across every game. Here's what actually matters for your matches this week.
Garen's ultimate was carrying too hard in solo queue, and Riot agrees. The true damage on Demacian Justice drops significantly across all ranks, making the "spin to win" all-in slightly less guaranteed.
True Damage: 150/250/350 → 125/200/275
This nerf targets late-game Garen stacking Warmog's and ulting for free kills. His lane phase remains the same, but the one-shot window against squishies is noticeably tighter. Expect Garen to drop a tier in solo queue picks.
Seraphine's AP ratio on High Note (Q) takes a 10% cut, directly hitting her DPS output as an ADC. She was overperforming as a botlane carry, outpacing traditional marksmen with safety and scaling.
AP Ratio: 50% → 40%
This opens real space for traditional ADCs to reclaim the role. If you're grinding botlane ranked on Amber.gg, expect the lane matchup landscape to shift noticeably. Check the updated LoL meta rankings to see who climbs into the gap.
Jayce gets hit on two fronts: Hextech Capacitor bonus move speed drops from 40 to 30, and Mercury Hammer's passive armor/MR scaling is reduced. He was too slippery and durable for a poke champion.

These changes reduce his ability to trade, escape, and survive burst, without gutting his poke pattern. Still viable in the right hands, but the margin for error shrinks.
This is the headline change of Patch 26.14. Mordekaiser gets buffed on both his E and his ultimate, making him significantly stronger in isolated fights.
Damage: 60/75/90/105/120 (+40% AP) → 60/80/100/120/140 (+45% AP)
His R stat steal also increases from 10% to 13%, meaning every 1v1 in his Realm of Death hits harder. Combined with the E damage spike, his dueling power in the mid-to-late game jumps to a new level.

WMordekaiser has historically been a tournament-level pick when his numbers are right. Track his performance on the Mordekaiser meta page as the patch settles. He was a contested pick during HLE's MSI 2026 championship run, including the pivotal LYON vs HLE bracket stage where his teamfight presence proved decisive.
Corki's base AD growth goes from 2 to 2.5 per level, a small but meaningful buff for auto-attack trading patterns. His R recharge timing gets tweaked too, shifting power from spamming rockets to mixing in autos between casts.
This isn't a major overhaul, but it makes his mid-game window slightly stronger. Worth revisiting if you shelved him in recent patches.
After previous nerfs hit her harder than intended, Nami's E (Tidecaller's Blessing) gets a damage buff per proc: from 20/30/40/50/60 to 20/35/50/65/80. This restores some of her early damage threat in lane.
If you're playing Seraphine support less after her nerfs, Nami becomes a strong alternative for coordinated poke comps.
This is a subtle but impactful system change. Ability Haste from Blue Buff is no longer flat, it now scales based on character level:
This rewards junglers and mages who farm Blue Buff through the mid game. Power spikes at level 6 and 11 now align with the Blue Buff pickup timing, giving AP-heavy junglers a stronger window to gank or scale.
Rocketbelt goes through a full rebuild this patch. The build path changes from Hextech Alternator + Fiendish Codex to Hextech Alternator + Kindlegem + Ruby Crystal. The active cooldown increases from 40 to 50 seconds, AP drops from 70 to 60, and health increases from 300 to 350.
The item trades burst for survivability, and costs 350 gold more. Assassins using it as a mobility tool will feel the cooldown hit hard. AP fighters who wanted the health now have a better reason to build it.
Patch 26.14 is a botlane reset patch. Seraphine's carry role is kneecapped, Garen is less of an auto-pilot top laner, and Mordekaiser is a genuine priority pick. 📉
If you're climbing this week, expect: Mordekaiser contested heavily in top, traditional ADCs returning to priority, and Jayce becoming a safer dodge in flex picks.
The Blue Buff change also rewards AP junglers at level 6 breakpoints. Champions like Lillia, Amumu, and Nidalee spike earlier in fights around Dragon.
