Season 3 is live, and Patch 26.15 sent a clear message: snowball is punished, scaling is rewarded, and tanks are back 📈. Whether you're grinding the new act or checking our full patch guide before you queue, here's every champion ranked for the current meta — tracked live on the LoL meta tracker.

🔥 3 Headline Meta Shifts

1. Bel'Veth becomes a late-game carry. Her attack speed is gutted early, her ultimate scaling is sharply buffed. She's no longer the oppressive early jungler who snowballed lane advantages into a 20-minute win. She now scales into a genuine threat at 30+ minutes. Adjust your game plan accordingly — she's beatable early, terrifying late.

2. Tanks are everywhere. Alistar, Maokai, Volibear, and Zac all received mobility or durability improvements this patch. The top lane and support role are now firmly tank territory. Flex-pick threats with a tank skin are climbing fast.

3. Snowball champions got capped. Locke takes nerfs to Q damage and W safety. Naafiri's ult spam window is reduced. Riven's Endless Hunger synergy is trimmed. Sylas loses Q power. The pattern: champions who were dominating because they could run away with an early lead are now more punishable mid-game 📉.

🏆 Top Lane

S-tier: Volibear, Maokai, Cho'Gath Tank buffs hit Volibear and Maokai directly — both gain durability and mobility, making them oppressive lane bullies who don't die when flanked. Cho'Gath scales with the same scaling-rewards-patience logic this patch enables.

A-tier: Mordekaiser, Garen, K'Sante Mordekaiser's 26.14 overbuff was corrected, but he's still a premium duelist — compare the trajectory with our 26.14 patch notes. Garen and K'Sante remain reliable, just no longer auto-pilots.

B-tier: Riven, Darius, Camille, Gangplank Riven drops a full tier after her Endless Hunger synergy nerf. She still outplays opponents, but her damage output in the core trading pattern is noticeably softer.

C-tier: Jayce, Fiora, Quinn Poke-oriented and mobility-reliant top laners struggle into a tank-heavy meta. Jayce in particular is already carrying the weight of his 26.14 nerfs.

🌿 Jungle

S-tier: Zac, Volibear Zac is the poster child of the tank-meta swing — durability up, engage potential unchanged, now survives flanks that would have killed him two patches ago.

A-tier: Bel'Veth, Amumu, Hecarim, Olaf Bel'Veth sits A-tier with an asterisk: she requires a late-game win condition. If your team can't protect the scaling window, pick something else. Hecarim and Olaf slot cleanly into the new tank-adjacent style.

B-tier: Elise, Vi, Graves, Poppy Standard junglers who don't benefit from the tank swing but aren't actively punished by it.

C-tier: Naafiri, Nidalee, Qiyana Naafiri's ult-spam pattern was her main safety tool — its reduced window makes her much easier to punish when her cooldowns don't line up. Damage-heavy assassin junglers generally underperform in a durability-first meta.

⚡ Mid Lane

S-tier: Viktor, Azir, Corki The three scaling mages thrive in a meta where the game goes long. Viktor and Azir in particular reward patient macro over fast rotations.

A-tier: Locke, Vex, Anivia, Syndra Locke drops from S but remains playable — Q damage reduced, W movement speed and healing cut. He's no longer a dominant pick when even, but he's still punishing when ahead. Don't blind-pick him. The patch 26.13 context is useful for tracking how Locke has evolved since his launch.

B-tier: Sylas, Zed, Akali, Lissandra Sylas's Q nerf reduces his burst pattern — he's viable against the right steal targets, not a first-pick anymore.

C-tier: Naafiri, Katarina, Diana Fast-scaling assassins who need momentum to stay relevant are actively punished in a meta that rewards playing through scaling compositions.

🏹 ADC

S-tier: Kai'Sa Her late-game scaling was already exceptional — this patch enhanced it further. She's the clearest expression of "scale out and win" in the ADC pool right now. Pair her with a Maokai or Alistar support for maximum protection.

A-tier: Aphelios, Draven, Jinx Aphelios continues his strong run off the 26.13 buffs. Draven and Jinx reward snowball but are viable into this meta since they hit hard enough to influence tank fights.

B-tier: Jhin, Caitlyn, Tristana Consistent picks that neither punish nor benefit from this specific patch context.

C-tier: Seraphine ADC, Ezreal, Varus Seraphine's Q AP ratio hit in 26.14 continues to suppress her carry potential. Ezreal struggles to match Kai'Sa's late-game ceiling.

🛡️ Support

S-tier: Alistar, Maokai, Zac Alistar's +5 base movement speed compounds across every engage — roam timing, lane pressure, and gap-closing all improve. Maokai and Zac both received durability upgrades that make them nearly unkillable with a healer behind them.

A-tier: Thresh, Nautilus, Lulu Tank supports slot cleanly into an engage-heavy meta. Lulu is the exception — she shines when paired with Kai'Sa in the S-tier ADC-support duo.

B-tier: Nami, Janna, Soraka Peel-heavy supports remain consistent picks without dominating.

C-tier: Senna support, Renata, Karma Utility supports who rely on their ADC snowballing are harder to optimize when the game plan shifts to 30-minute scaling.

📋 Ranked System Changes

Aegis of Valor is gone. The loss protection mechanic has been removed entirely — LP is now only gained on wins. This raises the stakes on every ranked game. If you were relying on Aegis as a safety net, factor that into your game selection.

Master+ duo is back with rank restrictions in place. If you're looking to climb coordinated, the window is open again.

Queue Up and Compete 🏆

Tanks up, scaling rewarded, Locke finally counterable. Patch 26.15 is one of the cleanest meta resets in recent memory — and Season 3 is the right time to capitalize. Ready to put your ranked edge to work? Join a LoL ladder on Amber.gg and compete with prize pools on the line.
