The VCT Pacific Stage 1 playoffs just delivered two of the biggest upsets of the year. Global Esports eliminated Paper Rex 2-1, and Full Sense swept T1 out of the tournament — sending both to Masters London 2026 🔥. Nobody saw this coming.
Two teams that barely registered on anyone's radar are now the Pacific representatives at the biggest Valorant international event of the summer. The Pacific region is no longer a Paper Rex and T1 show.

Global Esports vs Paper Rex — VCT Pacific Stage 1, May 2026.
Global Esports made history on May 8 in the VCT Pacific Stage 1 upper bracket semifinal. They defeated Paper Rex 2-1 with map scores of 13-9 on Breeze and 13-5 on Pearl, snapping a nine-consecutive-loss streak against PRX dating back to October 2021. This marks the first time an Indian esports organization has ever qualified for a VCT Masters event 🏆.
Coach frosT addressed the weight of their preparation: "We played Paper Rex four times already. That is a full season worth of games against the best team in the world." IGL Xavi8k was equally confident going in: "We weren't scared of Paper Rex, who's like the best team in the world. We trusted ourselves and we were all confident."
There's a subplot that made Pearl even more personal. PatMen, now on Global Esports' roster, previously played for Paper Rex. His dominant showing on that map against his former team was one of the most electrifying moments of the entire match.
Full Sense made it look clinical. They swept T1 2-0, winning Map 1 thirteen to nine and Lotus thirteen to eight on May 8. This result stings extra because T1 had gone through the group stage with a perfect 5-0 record. Going from flawless groups to getting swept in the playoffs is brutal 😤.
The standout player of the tournament for Full Sense has been Papaphat "primmie" Sriprapha, putting up 272.3 ACS, 172 ADR, and a 1.42 K/D across Stage 1. Full Sense replaced Talon Esports (removed for financial mismanagement in December 2025), and this appearance is their first international LAN since 2021. They are the only all-Thai roster in VCT Pacific 📈.

Both teams have already locked their spots at Masters London, but the Upper Bracket Final on May 15 determines the top Pacific seed. That bracket position matters: it will decide which side of the draw they land on in London and which teams they could face in the knockout rounds.
This is a match between two upsets waiting to happen to each other. Both GE and Full Sense are now confirmed Pacific qualifiers alongside the other international representatives, all listed in our VCT Masters London 2026 qualifications tracker.
Masters London runs from June 6 to 21. The Pacific region sends its two most unlikely candidates, and that's precisely what makes this bracket interesting. For the full international picture, including the Americas side of the qualifications, read our VCT Americas Stage 1 Playoffs recap.
Global Esports bring a structured, preparation-heavy style. They've shown they can beat the best team in the region on both an off map (Lotus loss, coach's own admission) and strong maps. Full Sense are disciplined and primmie is a legitimate international carry threat. Neither team is arriving in London just to fill a slot.
