๐ Team-by-Team Breakdown
Karmine Corp: The Favorite Nobody Saw Coming
After a 0-5 Stage 1 nightmare, KC came back completely rebuilt. They swept through Stage 2 group play, dominated Play-Ins week, and enter the playoff bracket as the team the rest of EMEA is genuinely scared of. If the new style holds up under playoff pressure, they're the ones to beat for the Champions spot.
Team Vitality: Consistent, But Yet to Peak
Vitality qualified comfortably but haven't shown that decisive gear everyone expects them to find in playoffs. Their ceiling is high, this is a team with Champions pedigree. The question is whether they can turn consistent form into a playoff run.
Team Liquid: The Comeback Story
Liquid rallied from losing positions multiple times during the group stage and looked sharper heading into the playoff cut. They're capable of upsets. Their mental resilience might matter more than their seeding.
BBL Esports: The Scrappy Overperformer
BBL upset Vitality during the group stage and followed it up with a direct playoff berth. They're not the most polished roster in the bracket, but they compete hard and have shown they can punch up.
Enterprise Esports: The Biggest Upset Makers
Challengers squad. Took down FNATIC in one of the Play-Ins' most memorable series. As covered in our Play-Ins Day 1-2 recap, Enterprise earned every inch of this playoff spot. They're the dark horse with the biggest upside.
FUT Esports: The Story Nobody Expected
FUT qualified for the playoffs despite releasing their entire Turkish core mid-season, including AtaKaptan's retirement. Running a rebuilt roster through the Play-Ins and coming out the other side is genuinely impressive. Whether this lineup can compete in a playoff format is the big unknown ๐.
Eintracht Frankfurt: Challengers Proving a Point
Frankfurt entered as Play-Ins underdogs and pushed through to earn a playoff spot. They lost to GIANTX on Day 1 before bouncing back through the lower bracket. Playoff experience will be limited, but that's been true of every Challengers breakout team before they surprised someone.
Fire Flux Esports: The REBORN Gamble
Fire Flux signed the REBORN roster specifically for this run and went 2-0 in their first series against PCIFIC Esports. They held their own all the way to the final Play-Ins round and punched their ticket on August 16. They're the wildcard. Dark horse energy at maximum ๐ฅ.

โ๏ธ Round 1 Bracket Preview
The official bracket matchups for the first playoff round are still being finalized based on seedings, but the structure is clear. Group stage qualifiers get the upper half seedings and face Play-In qualifiers in the opening round. Play-In teams enter from the opposite side, meaning the Challengers squads like Enterprise, Fire Flux, and Eintracht Frankfurt could face the group stage giants right away.
The most dangerous Round 1 matchup on paper: Karmine Corp vs Fire Flux. A top seed against the team that just proved they can beat franchise competition. One of those series that ends up on highlight reels regardless of the result.
Watch for the FUT storyline too. Their rebuilding saga and the mid-season roster disruptions that reshaped EMEA at large have made the bracket more unpredictable than any table of form suggests.
๐ฎ Patch 13.02 and What to Expect Meta-Wise
The playoffs run on Valorant Patch 13.02, which brought Phoenix's ultimate cost up to 7 points and added three new Retakes maps. In terms of the competitive meta, the changes are minor enough that the agent compositions you have seen all Stage 2 are what teams will bring to Barcelona.
Initiators remain dominant. Sentinels are viable on tighter maps. Duelist picks pivot around entry style and map. Karmine Corp's flexible compositions have been the most meta-forward in EMEA, and how opponents respond will shape the bracket's early rounds.
๐ Our Pick: Karmine Corp
Karmine Corp. The form, the depth, and the emotional fuel of a team determined to erase Stage 1 from memory. They've already shown they can play around every opponent's read, and their ceiling in a best-of-three format is higher than anyone else in this bracket.
Dark horse that could ruin it: Enterprise Esports. They have proven once that they can beat a franchise team when it matters. That's not a fluke, it's a template.
