🔄 GIANTX: musz3kk Released, Jesse Stays Permanently
GIANTX made it official on July 25: Turkish duelist Cihan "musz3kk" Göçer is permanently released. His ongoing visa delays made any return timeline impossible, and stand-in Adam "Jesse" Čtvrtníček — who stepped in while musz3kk fought the bureaucracy — now holds the permanent spot.
musz3kk didn't mince words: "Despite our explanation of the situation, I thank the Turkish esports federation for not providing the slightest support to resolve the issue." He did everything he could. The federation didn't help.
GIANTX are currently 0-2 in Stage 2 (losses to Fnatic and Karmine Corp), so the roster certainty comes with urgency attached. IGL Michael "neT" Bernet, imported from North America, continues to lead the squad alongside Flickless, westside, and ara. The window for a playoff push is closing fast.
🔥 Eternal Fire: Spear Debuts Against the Defending Champions
Eternal Fire benched Baran "Izzy" Yilmaz for the remainder of Stage 2. His replacement, Arda "Spear" Kartal, now makes his VCT franchise league debut against Team Heretics — the defending EMEA Stage 1 champions. There are no easy first games. 🎯
Spear's resume heading into this moment is thin at the franchise level. He played for Eternal Fire Passion (EF's secondary squad) before it dissolved in April, then briefly competed for Barca eSports in the EMEA Challengers LCQ. Pa1ze is a known quantity in the EMEA Challengers ecosystem. FOKUS reached fourth place in the EMEA Challengers Stage 3 playoffs and fell in the LCQ quarterfinals to Eintracht Frankfurt. The results show Pa1ze can compete at this level; the emergency nature of the signing just means there's been almost no time to integrate.
